Paint It Red
Voldemort has finally declared himself the Minister of Magic; he is finally out in the open, vulnerable, clear to see. He is no longer hiding in the shadows and now they no longer have to hide either. It is time to make their move. For months they have waited patiently, biding their time, and keeping hidden. They have had their hand in a few things here and there, all part of the plan, all done in the dark. The people don’t yet know they exist but after tonight, oh after tonight the people will know who they are and what they stand for. The wizarding world will know just who they stand against. Most importantly, the wizarding world will know what they are willing and capable of doing if they don’t get what they want.
For far too long Voldemort has had his reign of terror. The Death Eaters have wreaked havoc on the wizarding world. And what has the wizarding world done? Cowered in the dark, flailing blindly, shoving each other to the forefront to protect their own skins. This, they feel, is atrocious. This is the unforgivable failing of Wizarding World culture. They are willing to do what it takes to fix this. Which is why they are here, on the Hogwarts Train, waiting for their opportunity, eyes fixed on their next target. The train is almost at Hogwarts, their window of opportunity closing quickly, but they know the true meaning of patience. They must wait for the right time, the right time to be seen putting their plan into action and still make a get-a-way.
The train is slowing now, slowing, almost at a stop, and the students are humming with excitement. They can hear them rustling in their compartment gathering their things to leave the train. The disillusionment charm they have is excellent but they are still solid flesh that is taking up space in the train corridor. The doors to the station open. They must act quickly. With a wave of their wand the doors slam shut and lock. Students begin entering the hallway and they are lost in the hustle and bustle of students. They smile at the shouts of alarm and confusion of those trying to open the door. It is just the sort of distraction they need. They can see her blond curls, her innocent face leaning out the compartment door. Perfect.
They wave their wand again and the disillusionment charm is gone. They hear another scream from students that can see the tall dark figure cloaked in blood red. Beneath the hood they can see nothing but a black void hiding their features. Anonymity is key. Raising their wand for all to see they point it at her and stun her. They reach for her and with a strong grip they throw her over their shoulder. People are catching on to what is happening and gathering their wits about them. A few try to aim spells at them but they blocks those easily. They open the door closest to them. It slams open quickly to let them out and they wave their wand one final time.
Like a burning lasso, Redness flicks out of their wand, a constant stream of blood red that they manipulate onto the station platform. A bright M appears in the air, splattered slick and dark. They see the horrified stares of the students on the train and they smile, though they know the students cannot see. They spin on their heels and disapparate, disappearing into the darkness.

As soon as the train came to a stop and the doors remained closed he could sense it - not a defined sixth sense by any means but a feeling of something very much off. The hairs on the back of his neck prickled to attention and rose goosebumps on his skin until he shivered, less panicked than most around him. He had seen his fair share of showmanship before and knew that something big was going to happen.
The figure, at first, didn't seem to be all that intimidating but there was one thing that made it stand out - the motive. It was obvious not one of his companions in mask, as the victim was all wrong. He knew the girl, not personally, but enough to know her blood line was pure and she was the type that would be a perfect target. They had planned it for her. She wouldn't fight.
Krause, he believed.
He didn't have time to react before the figure was gone, though not without a trace. Instead of the ominous skull hanging above the train, a large M dangled in the sky. The letter dripped like blood and made his skin crawl. They might not have made a name for themselves, but they had made an impression.
"M?" He spoke more to himself than anyone around him, "Bloody hell was that about?" Now there was panic... panic because a new player had entered the game and here he was treading water.
( excuse mistakes - I wrote this on my phone! )
